I doubt they are even aware of their 0.0105% investment in Newsmax…Qatari wealth fund is like half a trillion.

Money doesn’t move by itself. Someone authorized that seed money for Newsmax and it’s been pretty clear that they support fascism, the cancer of democracy.

What the shit? Why? Like seriously how would Qatar benefit from a Trump presidency? I guess it’s plausible that the reason could be to weaken the US and therefore their hold on the Middle East, but is that really worth having to deal with “let’s deport Muslims” Trump in the meantime"?

Well first off there are plenty of hard line anti west Muslims that love the deport Muslims rhetoric. It gives them something to justify with

But if you read the sub headline it is pretty clear why this happened

Before and after the investment, senior newsroom leaders urged Newsmax staff to soften coverage of Qatar, current and former employees said

I mean you’d expect Muslims to care about other Muslims in general, but I know geopolitics doesn’t work that way so that’s not what I meant. Trump hates Muslims in America and abroad, and supports Israel and would probably go to war in the middle East again if he could. As a Muslim country who isn’t in the US’s bloc it seems like they’d feel the brunt of the effects of a Trump presidency.
