“I agree that the word grope is a very odd word,” Spacey said. “I personally—I have caressed people, I have been gentle with people. That is the way that I am. You’re making a pass at someone, you don’t want to be aggressive. You want to be gentle. You want to see if they’re going to respond positively. So, I think the word [grope] is not a word that I associate with my experience.”

Its 2024 and Spacey still doesn’t understand the concept of consent.

Every time I have heard Spacey speak or have read things he’s said since his career imploded it just perfectly illustrates the reason he was so damn good at playing creepy, detached dudes throughout his acting career: he wasn’t acting.

Well that makes sense, seeing as there’s absolutely no other way to tell if someone might be interested other than touching them in private areas and seeing if they like it or not…

Christ on a bike, what the fuck.

Too bad Trump isn’t a fan of queer people because this is the exact same “when you’re rich, they let you do it” attitude Trump had with the “grab them by the pussy” comment, so they’d get along really well otherwise.

You can’t figure out whether they consent until you grope them, and see how they respond! Did you not read the quote? I meant caress, not grope! Caress response determines consent!
