Crazy only taking almost 30 years.
I can't wait to hear his take on this arrest on his next album release, which was written back in '94.
“He put himself squarely in the middle of the conspiracy,” Kading said of Davis and the Shakur killing. “He had acquired the gun, he had given the gun to the shooter and he had been present in the vehicle when they hunted down and located both Tupac and Suge [Knight]”
Kading noted that Davis is the last living person among the four people who were in the vehicle from which shots were fired at Shakur and Knight. Others were Anderson, Terrence “Bubble Up” Brown and DeAndre “Freaky” Smith.
“It’s a concerted effort of conspirators,” Kading said, adding that he believed that because the killing was premeditated Davis could face a first-degree murder charge.
“All the other direct conspirators or participants are all dead,” Kading said. “Keefe D is the last man standing among the individuals that conspired to kill Tupac.”
“It’s so long overdue,” Kading told the Associated Press during a recent interview. “People have been yearning for him to be arrested for a long time. It’s never been unsolved in our minds. It’s been unprosecuted.”
Glad they stayed committed to this and brought some closure to the case (assuming it sticks). Not hip hop’s biggest fan but Tupac was brilliant. The industry might’ve been a different place today.
I don't think so. Not to be cynical, but I think we overestimate the potential impact of those who die young. In fact, I think their impact is almost always made larger because they died young.
Like many other once-great artists, Tupac, were he alive today, would probably be retired after doing a few years in Vegas with dwindling audience numbers.
He probably would have gotten a reality show and maybe been on stage at the Superbowl for a nostalgic throwback act, but beyond that he would have probably faded into history.
I say the same about Nirvana, Amy Winehouse, definitely Nipsy Hustle, and the others who passed too soon.
Sorry, I know it's kind of grim and I'm definitely open to a good counter-argument here.
Tupac was also political, he wasn't just some artist. He's like if Killer Mike was 50 times as famous. I think you're right about how death transforms someone's legend, but I think Tupac was set to be as famous as Snoop Dogg is now. Accept with the political drive to be a cultural revolutionary. I doubt he would have faded into history like he was ja rule or some shit.
Do rappers often get Vegas residencies?
That's a good counter argument.
I suppose you would get the rapper equivalent of the Vegas residency. Not sure what that is.
DiGiacomo said the grand jury heard evidence in the case for several months, and alleged that Davis acted as the “on-ground, on-site commander” who “ordered the death” of Shakur.
I’m curious what evidence they found after all these years that confirms this.
Keffy D basically implicated himself in this case by failing to shut up about it in various interviews. And he even released a book where he describes his role in the shooting in detail.
Wtf really?
I see no changes
Better late than never I guess…

You don’t think it could have been street politics even though Tupac was very much involved with street politics? What legitimate reason is there for the FBI to kill Tupac in the first place? He was a little subversive, but nothing crazy. Why would they simply shoot Tupac in front of so many witnesses? You’d think that the FBI would be capable of a little more subtlety.
Bro it was the deep state obviously.
They'll release information on JFK and aliens, but this Tupac shit has to stay buried forever.
I'm still waiting for him to come back in 7 years
Tupac wasn't into "Street politics" he paid for an entourage to maintain appearances. They exclusively kept him out of real gangster shit because they knew he was acting.
Tupac most definitely had gang affiliations with both Bloods and Crips even if he didn’t bang himself. If being as close to Suge Knight, a very high ranking member of the M.O.B. Piru Bloods, as Tupac was doesn’t automatically count as being involved in street politics, then I don’t know what would be. Tupac even had a M.O.B. tattoo and past members have confirmed his affiliations. Not to mention, Tupac was right at the heart of the East vs. West rivalry, something some people took very seriously, especially in a business as potentially lucrative as rap music. Do I need to remind you that Tupac had already been shot multiple times right in the studio building? If gunmen try to assassinate you twice over street politics shit, that kind of makes you part of street politics. I never said he was a banger, because he wasn’t, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t involved in street politics.
He was tolerated because he made Suge money. I'm not gonna debate this, go watch all of the interviews from everybody who was around them at the time. It's a fact he was not involved in any real shit at all. This is old news man…
You seem to be of the belief that street politics exclusively means gangbanging, but street politics is way wider than that. I never said he was in a gang because I know he wasn’t, but you’d have to be willfully ignorant to say that street politics had nothing to do with his death. Are you gonna tell me it was an accident next?
So because it’s not a FBI agent who killed Tupac it’s a cover up? The guy Tupac and Suge beat the shit out of earlier that night coming back and shooting him is less likely than some conspiracy with an FBI agent? We’re all doomed. Literal idiots everywhere.
Surely you understand this person was making a sarcastic joke.
Poe's Law strikes again.
Sounds more like a distraction to me. I mean they announced aliens like six weeks ago and nobody really cared so now we're on to solving Tupac's murder and I'm guessing 5 more months from now will uncover that Russia was behind the JFK assassination I don't fucking know
