Despite ongoing whispers of bad blood, pop divas Christina Milian and Jennifer Lopez have finally set the record straight about their supposed fallout over the 2001 hit song “Play.”

In an exclusive interview, Milian dismissed accusations that she harbors resentment toward Lopez for recording the track, which Milian wrote at just 19 years old.

“Hands down, she killed it. She’s so good. I love that song,” gushed Milian, now 41. “I couldn’t believe at 19 I wrote a song for J.Lo.”

Milian explained that she penned “Play” in 15 minutes during a songwriting camp in Sweden, just one week after creating her smash “AM to PM.” While she loved “Play,” her label favored “AM to PM” for her debut album.

Meanwhile, music exec Tommy Mottola snatched up “Play” for Lopez’s sophomore record J.Lo. Read more
