Hundreds of London police officers are facing dismissal as the department steps up efforts "to root out those who are corrupt" after a series of scandals eroded public trust and a scathing report found it was institutionally racist, homophobic and misogynistic.
Is there actually an abolish the police movement in the UK? I'm an ex-Brit who lives in the US so I'm familiar with both, and the UK police forces have an entirely different history and reputation to the US LE organizations. I'd be surprised if there's anything outside of anarchist groups there. But I'm happy to shown I'm wrong (well, "happy" is a relative term, if the UK police have devolved to the same troughs as the US LE orgs then that's terrible news.)

No, it wouldn't make much sense. The government has beendefunding the police for a decade anyway.
