Asheville is a great place, among many other communities that are really hurting from this exceptionally devastating storm. Not sure what kind of point or joke you think you’re making by calling America a shithole when you see news about people dying and losing their livelihoods
I think my point is pretty clear: America is a shithole. Don’t come here. Go somewhere else where you won’t be treated like a subhuman and where infrastructure works.
I mean if they really want to come here, I’m not going to stand in their way. I just think it’s a bad idea.
Maybe you should get offline and live in the real world for a bit. Terrible things happen in America just like everywhere else, and you’re making this point at the expense of people suffering from a natural disaster.
No you aren’t, you’re using a record shattering disaster to try to make some really fucking stupid point about how vague ‘other countries’ are somehow much better than America.
Disasters happen everywhere. Get your head out of your ass, you usually can string together a decent point, but this is just idiotic.
Believe it or not, Canada also occasionally has floods that kill people and leave thousands without power for days at a time. Not to mention the wildfires that continue to escalate every year. We’re all struggling with climate change and how it’s affecting natural disasters.
Do you think people are walking across the Darien Gap or the dessert just because? Do you think human rights and infrastructure are so amazing in these other countries that people just come here for the adventure and the vibes?

I’m talking about the infrastructure issue here. Which is what this article is about.

I literally named another country.

See above: re the part where I said at least they would get free healthcare.
Which they’re obviously going to need after walking the 2,000 miles to the Canadian border…

No?
