“No Mr Netanyahu, it is not antisemitic or pro-Hamas to point out that, in a little over six months, your extremist government has killed over 34,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 78,000, 70% of whom are women and children,”

There are even people here on lemmy trying to push that Yahoo’s bullshit narrative that the demonstrations are pro hamas. Thankfully most of lemmy can see through the crap and downvote the hell out of them.

It’s heartening that there’s still an enclave left on the Internet that isn’t completely insane and overrun by corporate/ military interests.

I’m glad more people have come around. It seemed pretty iffy the first few weeks, especially with my wife and I being called antisemites on multiple occasions for suggesting we were watching a genocide unfold. We felt like we were living in some sort of bizarro world.

Saying Bibi Netanyahu speaks for all Jews is like saying the KKK speaks for all Christians.

And conversely, saying that Bibi should be removed from office and the Israeli government held accountable for their actions is about as antisemitic as saying that the KKK should be disbanded and the leadership face consequences is anti-Christian.

I think you may be confusing “devout followers” with “devout adherence to christofascist ideology.”

Jesus’ views on hate are written down and there to read. Unfortunately, a lot of people who call themselves Christians only listen to what their preacher and radio station tell them, and don’t take the time to read what they say they believe.

Similarly, not all Jewish people (even practicing Jews) believe that Zionism is the future.

All superstition leads to fear and hate. We are on earth a short time. Why spend time, money and energy worshipping a fake god. The opportunity cost is immense.

Calling Netanyahu an genocidal nazi asshole, also has nothing to do with anti-semitism, is a fact.

A french comedian got blasted because he called Bibi a nazi without a foreskin. I thought it was fitting and hilarious.

I’ve gotten to discount the calls of antisemitism out of hand now, it’s used for anything that is against Israeli policy. If they want it to lose it’s meaning and impact, they’re going about it the right way.

I have seen many foreign representatives speak on the international stage. Netanyahu’s recent play at the racism card took me to a whole new level of outrage. Such bullshit and condemnation (he actually said it) on the level of Putin but at least with Putin you’re not also getting a “Give me more weapons pwease” tagged to it. We need to drop our dear allies like Israel and SA. I’m sure there’s more but those two are at the top.
