On Tuesday, Oct. 10, the office of Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares ® sent a letter to Virginia Voter Assistance, which is a project of the right-wing organization Look Ahead America, warning it to “immediately cease and desist” from sending false and misleading information to voters in Virginia.

I did read the article and even went to Look at Ahead America's web site to see if I could read the actual pamphlets or what ever was given to voters, but was unable to find that information. Instead, Look Ahead America is abiding with the order and has turned it over to their lawyers to meet with the Attorney General.

Growing up, I heard the "If you don't vote, you'll lose social security" At the time, I never took this to be a law that said if you do not vote, you specifically will have your check withheld. I took it to mean, if you do not get out and vote, the evil opposing party is going to change the law and social security is going be destroyed for everyone. I wonder if it might be the same message, but was misconstrued by the Attorney General.

The article implies the former was threatened. But I've learned it is much better to go to the source on both sides, and that is lacking. It is a "he said, she said" issue and the article was biased towards the Attorney Generals side.

I wasn't trolling and stand behind my belief it is not time for pitchforks, and until facts are out, this could be more censorship of
    the opposing side than reality.

I'm not seeing any evidence this is what they meant, so stop trying to play devil's advocate. They even doubled down saying they told the absolute truth.

Conservatives are the ones trying to reduce benefits and privatize social security, so I'm not sure how that could be the message.
