I’ve always hated the phrase “bad actors.” It’s a meaningless descriptor.

The two sides do not operate the same, necessarily, or hold the same views. But both are oppressive and corrupt in their own ways. It’s not even debatable.

I’m firmly in the D liberal camp, but I don’t lie to myself that those Ds in power actually give a shit about me or people like me. Their interests are in securing their own money/power structure. Sure, sometimes that trickles down to help us common folk, but it’s just an accidental side effect.

I’ll definitely vote like lives depend on it, but, unfortunately, how folks vote depend on who’s lives they find important to save; that’s not as straightforward as it should be.

This is my fear. I’ve only had the house 2 years, exclusively rented before. I’m ‘making it’ right now, but a few years down, who knows. Sorry for you, hope it comes out okay.

I wish we could activate them to explode. So many seemingly normal people do not know how to properly operate a toilet. This is not a race, ethnicity, sex, gender, etc. problem; it’s across the board. What’s really frustrating is that often it doesn’t impact the morons offender as much as an innocent person that does know a toilets functions and limitations (think apartment life). It’s not fucking rocket science, people.

Funny you should add that last sentence. My first day as a restaurant worker 30 something years ago was entirely sitting watching videos.

Have at it. A big nope from me. I watched a couple of videos of guys climbing those things and working on them and about died of anxiety. Even with all the proper safety gear, I’m sure I’d get a ways up and just freeze in fear.

I’d rather take on some of the other “nopes” in this thread; military or law enforcement. I could be a lazy ass do nothing cop for a day. Seems to work for quite a few cops.

I, for one, did not take your comment in a bad light. I'm in my late 40s, and most of my peers that I'm comfortable with have anxiety or some other mental health issue, myself included. I'm not sure what generation classification I fall into, but it really doesn't matter; it's not a generation specific problem. I guess I don't really have a point here. Maybe that it's a problem of the times rather than DOB. Or I'd guess 15% of people don't report.

I'm in the same boat. She's convinced that using twice it every 6 months is worth it. I don't even know what we pay for it these days, $14.99? Not worth making a big deal about at this point. We did cancel Hulu (better than Netflix,
imo) and paramount some months ago, so I'll take that and deal.

That sucks, I'm sorry that happened. But landscapers are not concrete people. I will say that any of either profession I've dealt with were aggressive about payment. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy tried to give you a change order for additional money?
