For me, it’s more Dave the Diver on Steam Deck and Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5. Been loving both and taking my time.

I also purchased Sea of Stars but haven’t started it yet. And I may have slipped and fallen on a Spiderman 2 Digital Deluxe Preorder yesterday…so I’ve been playing the latest gameplay trailer on repeat (if that counts lol)

What’re you all up to this great weekend?

I finished Remnant: From the Ashes. Really enjoyed the game. It's not a perfect game, but it's a fun one. Also, if you are ignoring it because of it being referred to as souls-like, don't worry about it. It's probably the easiest souls-like. Also, I have said it a few times already, but I won't really call it a full souls-like, maybe souls-lite.

Just started Ghost of Tsushima. The visuals, the "cinematography", the combat, it's a really good game. I am only a few hours in though, so don't know if I will eventually get tired of doing all the stuff on the map or not. Loving it for now.

I tried out Destiny 2. It's a lot better playing it on PS5 than when I first played it on PS4, the fraterate makes a big difference to me. Only played a couple hours. It was enjoyable but I'm not sure if I want to keep playing. I'll give it another weekend.

Can't play Baldur's Gate 3 sadly as there's no physical release, and you don't really own anything with a digital purchase, but it's inspired me to play Larians other games, the Divinity series

Just finished Assassin's Creed Odyssey, my first AC game. I don't think I've anything new to say about this game that hasn't been said already. It has solid mechanics, extremely capable graphics and data streaming tech and a variety of things to do, just that they're behind level checks and a lot of bloat.

If the game was half its size, it would actually be a better game. PlayStation studios do a better job at timeboxing such open world games with their Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone and even Spider-Man games. You're still clearing checkpoints on the map, but in a more streamlined and impactful way. I don't think I've the energy to play Origins or Valhalla, so I'll probably try out original AC games instead.

For my next game, I'll start Metro 2033 and play that trilogy. Need a palette cleanser from open world games.
