Biden has Dreamwork’s and Disney’s former money man running the fundraising arm of his campaign.

If Katzenberg can raise almost $2 billion to launch stupid ass Quibi, imagine how much money he can raise for something that is actually a better product than the competition.

I’ve always wondered what all this money does. What advantage does it buy Biden’s campaign to have more cash on hand?

I see campaign cash going to three things, mainly: ad buys, organizing (for local efforts and campaign stops), and paying consultants to make the first two thigs more effective. But at this point, we know most of what we need to know about these two dinosaurs. What ad could Biden possibly run that would move the needle?

I’ve joked in the past that we should just dispense with elections altogether, and just award positions based on fundraising. One Dollar, One Vote, like the Founders intended. All money pays down the deficit. Totally undemocratic, of course, but at least the money is guaranteed to do more than just buy more Lambos for consultants.

At this point it’s more about motivating voters to show up than swaying voters from one side to the other.

Consider the uncommitted voter movement in Michigan - those folks aren’t likely to ever vote for Trump, he’s even farther from their position on the issue. The risk that they primarily represent is not submitting a ballot at all.

Expect ads in Michigan, and to a lesser extent nationwide, advertising how Biden’s support of Israel has evolved in recent weeks, including the recent (failed - China/Russia vetoed) UN vote to call for a ceasefire in GAZA, which the US supported.

I fucking hate the DCCC. I really wonder if Schiff and the DCCC/DSCC’s ratfucking of Katie Porter will impact their fundraising in the long term. Maybe, maybe not, but its fucking disgusting that they take small dollar donations and funnel them to MAGA Republicans to ratfuck progressives.

I’m over it, done. I’ll never donate another penny to any thing that could find its way to the DCCC or DSCC coffers. Fuck them, and fuck Adam Schiffs smug arrogance and ratfuckery.

      Losing an election = ratfucking!

You people really are only a few preference away from fiting in with the maga idiots you know that.

If we want a progressive majority we have to build it. It starts at school boards and city councils. It starts with policy wins that give people what they want but didn’t know they could get. All you lazy fuckers that think you take the shortcut and the American voters just give you senate seats and the presidency have set back the cause by decades.

Your internet bubble != the voting public!!

It’ll genuinely be interesting what kind of difference the DNC can make with that cash.

I’d expect Biden not accomplishing anything that animated people in 2020, letting the abortion ban get passed, facilitating genocide, and banning tiktok will decrease turnout among his constitutions, but 2:1 is a pretty big difference.

I’m really curious to know how you think Biden could have stopped the Supreme Court from issuing the Dobbs decision.

He could pack the court, he could get around it by allowing military hospitals to provide abortion care, he could funding from states that ban it and tell the SCOTUS to enforce it when they rule against him.

We’ve seen what happens when a president ignores SCOTUS orders under trump: Absolutely nothing.
