That means they’re going to start arresting more brown ppl
And less innocent people being exonerated from prison. And less responsibility taken by the government and DA for putting innocent people in jail in the first place based on wrong evidence, bad evidence, and bad trials.
As if being “tough on crime” ever ended up working the way they promise it would. It’s only a phrase that they use to hype up the masses and win elections.
The way they’re doing it probably not. But the other extreme of rotating door arrest - release - arrest - release for basically all crimes like my local city has taken doesn’t seem to be working well either.
The sad thing is I thought to myself, “is that even possible at this point?” and the super said thing is that I realized it absolutely is.
