An interesting assesment of how a failing state almost makes privatisation inevitable. But at the cost of not servicing the majority of the country’s population, and only catering to those who can pay for all services. Pay to win in reality.

Mandela was a great leader who stabilized the country and brought it through the transition of apartheid to a free country.

His successors have not been as good.

Not only Mandela. All the top cadre of the ANC and SA Communist party in those days were great. Govan Mbeki (Thabos' father). Walter Sisulu. Chris Hani (murdered by the apartheid regime). Steve Biko (hopefully everyone knows who Steve Biko was). Joe Slovo (his wife, Ruth First, was also murdered by the regime). These were all good, honest and decent people, not to mention brave and courageous. It's a tragedy and a disgrace to see how the next generation of leaders has trashed the legacy of these amazing people.
