the part i like the most with the stanley parable is how the narrator (lines and voice acting) has handled each game route.
i feel there’s a mix of excitement and teasing there that makes you follow his lead.
also to add is the clarity of the voice. i didn’t need subs when i played the game.
In a way, you can say it is lazy journalism:
The journalist can say he lied, then state factual data – but then real life happens and someone points out this action is subjective, biased and is attacking some person. Maybe the journalist also needs cred power for people to believe his stance.
So to address objectivity in journalism, reporters just say what happened. No backtracking. No side references. Maaaaybe also pushed you their job to make sense of what it is.
There’s also a factor about sponsorship and money but that’s just money talk.

many argue that there’s no “objective” journalism and that the solution is to report it as is or always serve opinion pieces.
imo these proposed solutions suck and we end with more useless data.
no proof, but it can be attributed to a kind of addiction and dopamine association.
it is not that you start hating the average food, but your mind misses that dopamine hit the good food carries. think of it like a withdrawal like effect where your body is now conditioned and has a “higher bar” for things.
