Seems dead unfortunately. I loved it too.

At this point I’m only using Sync and Voyager.
I will justify it in four words: It’s a Hades sequel.
Non-native. I got this one.
Heyyo, I’m from Hanoi!
Chiming in from a third world country. Just did a speedtest. On LTE right now i get 100 down 60 up, 500GB/month for 35$ a year =).
DNA and voice is voluntary at least for now, but they will do a mandatory iris scan. Doesn’t make it any better in my books. The fact that the government even wants this much biometric data is ridiculous.
That’s the Vietnamese government for you. Such blatant overreach and I’ve seen little discourse on this issue. So many people blindly trust it because national unity/national security/patriotism or whatever. If you dare to oppose the government, they’re taking you to the police station for questioning. There’s basically no press freedom and internet freedom is shit as well so where the hell are people going to get differing opinions? All the articles I’ve read are simply parroting the government. This shit would never fly in a democracy. The writing has been on the wall for a long time. I’ll be finding ways to get tf out of here
New crime unlocked: thinking un-patriotic thoughts
OMG, yes! I’ve been running into so many rude/toxic comments lately. For me it feels like this place is devolving into Reddit again.
Just as a heads up, Exodus is highly misleading
Jay hasn’t responded yet. I’m still holding out hope. J2K is my favorite fork.
Just a random community I clicked on to test the app.
I use that too but it hasn’t been working too well for me recently. For example, sometimes it can’t play videos and when I try opening that video in a browser the pricks over at Reddit fucking blocks VPN.
I know, but the thing is I lack the experience and time needed to create and moderate a community. I can only engage with content (i.e posting and commenting)
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that the vast majority of people here don’t have such a threat model. Our threat model is mostly preventing corporations like Google and Facebook from accessing our data. If your threat model is so advanced that you need to prevent tracking via connection to a cell tower (i.e state actors targeting you), the only thing you can do short of putting your phone in a faraday cage/taking out the cellular radios/ not having a phone at all is to turn on airplane mode. This is because your phone still maintains a connection to a cell tower without a SIM card.
Yeah, they’re former Redditors. They don’t read past the titles.
This is exactly the reason why I don’t like F-Droid as a way to get apps. You’ll have to trust an additional party when getting your apps, and updates are often a couple days behind. I prefer to get it straight from the developer’s GitHub or Coderberg or whatever.
Anti-work can stay on Reddit. I’m sick of their bitching.
Honestly, at this point I kinda prefer to go on Reddit. I’m getting tired of all the tech/FOSS talk and there’s so much doom and gloom on here it just bums me out.
