I used to make the rounds in the largest libraries around me. I’d find the coziest spot to hide in. At Uni I’d find a good study cubby and hide there. Napping also helps with a nice jacket on.

I suspect it depends on the school. Also I think it depends on the student’s needs and intentions. Tai chi can be very effective against many competing styles.
I practice “internal” and “external” kung fu and first things first… All real kung fu is both. If your Shifu is teaching both the internal and external aspects of the art then you are getting the full experience. Any martial art was developed for fighting, however there can be a very fulfilling experience when you connect the mind and body during training and execution. It sounds like your teacher has you on a good path.
May I suggest that tai chi is very much a combative fighting style that simply has a larger audience with two chi for health. All of the forms can be sped up and effectively used as a martial art.
True… It’s very passive. No one ever pressed me to think this way but I just did… And still sorta do. Maybe movies? And I was susceptible to applying that concept to myself? I dunno.
It seems like you are getting more knee jerk than actual answers here. There is no evidence of any discrimination in asking to deblur the camera by itself. It also has nothing to do with an I9 validation. The I9 validation is checking for employment eligibility and citizenship status and that’s it. See below for the remote procedures. The employer’s obligation is to be consistent in the procedure and not discriminatory with the procedure based on race, gender, etc. I just think that HR drone is a dumbass.
Lastly, I think based on your other response to another poster she should take the job and just be keenly aware if anyone else in HR asks other funny stuff. There can always be dumbasses in every department and that’s not a reflection of their ability to be lawful or a bad company. I also think it’s worth reporting the person if they keep doing funny stuff.
From USCIS: Remote Examination of Documents Procedures: Examine copies (front and back, if the document is two-sided) of Form I-9 documents or an acceptable receipt to ensure that the documentation presented reasonably appears to be genuine and relates to the employee; Conduct a live video interaction with the individual presenting the document(s) to ensure that the documentation reasonably appears to be genuine and relates to the individual. The employee must first transmit a copy of the document(s) to the employer (per Step 1 above) and then present the same document(s) during the live video interaction; and Retain a clear and legible copy of the documentation (front and back if the documentation is two-sided).

I think we went through 3 trannys on one within the warranty period… Great ride with sliding windows and sliding door. Good times. I recall my dad showing me the engine under the hood. I don’t have any idea how someone worked on it. It was horribly crammed in.
That’s not good. I haven’t thought about this use case before.
You done fucked up, JD Vance.
Greg Abbott??? No?.. Damn.
I feel like an appeal is in order.
Hiking.
I use digital when my life doesn’t depend on it.
Edit: bought it last month.
I’m going in and committing to whatever I find inside.
Beastie Boys.

Work in transport. We have a severe lack of truck drivers in the US and a severe need. A few years ago the Prez of Texas Trucking Association stated he’s encouraging his son not to go into the biz because of the tough work requirements. He is very clear that trying to hire new drivers is hard. The industry acknowledges connected vehicles with semi autonomous trailers and trucks can support the dire need to move product. In certain circumstances autonomous driving can be useful and reasonably safe. Highways are usually well lit, well marked and well signed. This all helps improve autonomous vehicle safety.
Nope.
Agreed… They had a bad day.
Just anecdotal. I think it was enough to not fear it so much. The recollection is that the bad part is you are fighting to stay alive but when you give in and swallow all of the you get a state of euphoria… so I figure if you’ve got no choice just suck the water in and die happy.
That’s a crime scene and a death scene. It’s not going to go quickly. The good news is that it’s a critical roadway and waterway intersection so the feds and state government have motivation to make haste.
Listen Linda… Sometimes you go to HD, buy stuff, and then forget you have to get it home.
