Does no one know how lobbying works? Lobbyists whole job is following politicians votes, etc. and calling or applying what pressure they have to the ones they believe are vulnerable.

I think everyone should stop criticizing Trump for a week and just see how far he’ll go without any negative feedback loop.
Silly non sequitur. Even in his State of the Union he gave his position on his support of corporations but the need to keep them reigned in, primarily through taxes.
My rebuttal to this is (they usually include murder as the bad thing being done), “Are you telling me fear of hell is the only thing keeping you from murdering me right now? Says a lot more about your morals than mine.”
I actually had an idea that Biden could pardon Trump, then Trump couldn’t plead the 5th when called as a witness against anyone else. So he would have the choice of truthful answers or perjury.
Ok, so to be clear you only started opposition to Biden since the Israeli invasion of Gaza after October 7th?
I can understand the belief that Biden has been deficient in his response, despite the innumerable competing interests any administration would need to juggling. I had similar issues with Obama’s handling of ISIL, however I also had no better idea of how it could be handled better.
Unions oppose/opposed NATO, especially autoworkers.
Are you thinking NAFTA? I’m not sure unions have much of a position on NATO.
What makes it clear that Biden isn’t a great option? It really annoys me that such a progressive administration in a very divided government is somehow not measuring up to the ever changing goal posts. The only perfect candidate to vote for is yourself, everyone else is a compromise.
So just imagine how much worse the real story is.
The number one thing that gets in my way of refactoring to function is figuring out what to name the functions takes too long.
I wonder, could it be a method for him to tell right wingers how awful Trump is and not get dismissed outright. It is probably helping more people hear the truth than would have.
I was more referring to the unfortunately naive hope that came from the early Internet. I am reminded of this quote by Charles Babbage,
On two occasions I have been asked, — “Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?” In one case a member of the Upper, and in the other a member of the Lower, House put this question. I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.
I was also hopeful, but I now realize how silly that was.
Plus there’s an old adage by J Paul Getty, “If you own the bank $100, that’s your problem. If you owe the bank $100 million, that’s the banks problem.”
Similarly everyone you owe money to is now invested in your success.
