From what I’ve heard, the new 2.0 update and DLC are really great! So I really hope I can finally play it now haha.
From what I’ve heard, the new 2.0 update and DLC are really great! So I really hope I can finally play it now haha.
I’ve also heard good things about the performance and bugs!
Did you play the new DLC?
My many problem where honestly the bugs (had a game breaking one and I just saved…) and the performance…
it's still not the game they marketed but it's unlikely it ever would be.
I agree! It was just way too much and too big… even with their development time, I mean look how long GTA6 takes.
Dare I say it… did they really turned around the ship? I waited since the launch to finally finish playing it (or in this case, start a new game).
I agree, the first boss is the hardest one imho - it is a skill check of sorts. After I beat them it really clicked with me and I more or less blasted to the game in one go. It is truly a masterpiece, I couldn’t have described it better!
I played the first one when it came out… so I hardly remember anything anymore haha. But remember using two different bow and slingshots as well as the weapons for tethering the machines…
Could be that I wasn’t in the right mindset when I played it, but for me it felt like more of the same. Since Zelda BOTW I also find it a bit awkward when you are not able to climb everything - but this is not solely in Horizon the case. It certainly was a gorgeous looking game with a fantastic story and world, but the gameplay never really clicked with me… and I really can’t say why exactly, probably a combination of a few things. I never got into Monster Hunter, maybe that’s also a factor.
You are welcome! I was really confused when the DLCs were mentioned in the PSN description, but I couldn’t find them… And definitely play them - I don’t want to spoil anything haha, just do it!
I was the only one who beat it among my friends… for some it was too difficult or they didn’t like the rogue aspect of the game. It is really a unique game and certainly not for everybody (which is a shame, because it’s so great).
As for horizon: I really loved the story, setting and the world building, but gameplay wise it never really clicked with me. I felt that there where to many weapons and status effects (I preferred the simpler version in the first game) and the some of the machines had a bit too much health so that the fights felt artificially stretched. But probs for the accessibility options, auto-pickup/loot and that you get all parts from beaten machines. Haha, yes she really likes to talk… I really couldn’t bring myself to get the platinum, I even set it to the lowest difficulty to finish it. I really can’t say what it was, but it dragged on a bit too much.
Yeah, the gameplay of Alan Wake aged not so well, but as you sad, it is a fantastic game with an awesome stroy that is well paced too! Don’t forget to play the DLC chapters after you’ve beaten the game. They are only available via chapter select in the main menu!
It was so amazing! I really was blown away… but unfortunately nothing since then came close.
Ah yes control - I got myself the platinum twice, but excellent recommendation! Have you played Alen Wake Remastered? It’s also from the studio of Control (Remedy) and plays in the same connected universe.
That’s good to hear, thanks! It looks really good and like a solid replacement.
You really dodged a bullet there tbh.
The game was just a bit too ambitious and released way too early… it was basically Witcher 3 + GTA in a cyberpunk setting.
Let’s see if they managed to turn the game around.
Wanted more games with the awesome haptic feedback, triggers and load times. Just didn’t want to go back to a ps4 game.
I completely understand this… The only game that really felt like it was next gen (or current gen) so far was Returnal.
I had a quick look at the Razor Barracuda X… looks great, also the 50h battery is nice. One question though, when you plug the dongle into the front USB-C port of the PS5, does it obscure the USB-B port above?
Lucky you… I got fooled and bought completely into the hype train (my own fault)… and unfortunately it really wasn’t the game I (and everybody else) was expecting.
But it looks like they put in a lot of work and redid the whole perk system, AI, police, etc.
So I’m positively optimistic, but I’m 100% waiting on some reviews before I buy it.
I wouldn’t but put my hopes up too much tbh…
I also don’t get why they don’t allow for streaming via PS+
The headset looks the same as Pulse 3D with a breakout mic but costs 50% more?
Exactly my thoughts as well… I assume they will replace the original one?
For me the Pulse 3D headset fits perfectly fine, but I know from a friend of mine who had to replace it, because it was so uncomfortable…
I encountered so many quest related bugs and one finally prevented my from continuing the main quest…
What I played was OK, but it’s hard to tell because it felt so unpolished :/
That’s why I’m so super excited for the DLC! It looks really good!
Handheld 220€ Headset 150€ Ear-Buds 220€
You’re welcome!
This is what I thought of many games, but since the are “free” you might as well try and you never know :)
Btw, there is also a bit of exploring in Snowrunner!
PSA: Alan Wake Remastered and Control Complete Edition (with the Alan Wake DLC called AWE) are both on PS+Extra.
I will definitely wait for reviews, but I hope it is as good as the day it is… I have waited until now to play Cyberpunk again (quit after 10 when it released)
It’s on PS+Extra if you want to try it!
And just as a heads up: the pacing is quite slow and it is fun with friends (when you are all stuck in the same mud pit)
I assume you are playing on PC, as I can’t justify an extensive PC upgrade right now, I’m stuck on my PS5 - but I’ve also heard good things about the console.
