Had project manager at previous job the same. Worked about 3" from his screen. He was the proof that a good project manager is worth their weight in gold though. Guy was absolutely brilliant.

Either Slackware or Red Hat Linux 5, can’t remember. I do remember that when I first installed RH5 I used “Hick” for my language.
There comes a point where a basic house is not enough. For example, someone who starts a family and career before buying late.
By the time I bought my first house I had 2 teenagers, a work from home job (need a dedicated office) and a sick mother-in-law who is dependent on us. Add to that, I am an expat, so I want my sister to be able to come and visit (a nice-to-have I admit). The "starter" home for my family has 5 bedrooms!

I have an SUV because:
- my mother in law has mobility issues and struggles to get in/out of a saloon.
- my wife has neck issues and the higher driving position is better for her
- I like it (ok, that could make me an arsehole)
Truth is that mine (BMW X1) is at most 5cm bigger in any dimension, if at all, than the car on which it is based (Mini Cooper). The extra size is an optical illusion.
I just have them speak my name. Lived in France for 12 years now and not 1 has got it right.
