I don’t even know that she works at a preschool
Probably not. The source for that was the same hoax Facebook post that announced she had been fired.

Oh that’s good to hear. And somewhat surprising, considering how easily memes get ripped off by random strangers for profit.
Not a sitcom joke (yet…) but wow yeah. A moderately funny joke for about a day, but the memes have been tiresome since.
The poor girl allegedly lost her job as a preschool teacher over it, too.
How rude they are to Jerry in Parks & Rec. Doing a rewatch of it now and wow it is way worse than I remembered, and starts way earlier. It’s not a flanderisation thing, there was a season 2 joke that made me have to pause and go online just to see how many other people felt the same way as me.
There’s plenty of criticism from the “normal” left. It’s only the far-left tankies on certain instances of Lemmy that play dumb. Anyone from the centre-left mainstream political parties to non-authoritarian leftists (e.g. those aligned with Greens, Socialist, or Left parties in their respective countries) is far more likely to be opposed to this than supportive.
Hells yeah! I also mainly played Russians. Loved the strelet rush: it was the only build order I ever really put any serious effort into in AoE3. Also played a fair bit of Japanese.
I never played them more than a few times to test them out, but special shout-out to the Italians and the DaVinci Tank, which is an absolutely hilarious inclusion.
Battle for Middle Earth. With the resurgence of RTS games lately, including many older ones getting remastered, I would absolutely love to see a proper remaster and release of BFME2. Unfortunately rights issues mean it’s very unlikely to happen.
It’s my least favourite of the Age games, but that’s only because it’s such a highly competitive field. It still ranks very highly with me. Fantastic game.
Happy cake day!
My friends take about stabbing each other, because we do HEMA. Sometimes slight grappling gets involved. Much less physically…intimate, but still very open to verbal inuendo.
Ohhhhh. From “table games dealer” I thought you owned a tabletop gaming store. Selling, like, Settlers of Catan and D&D and stuff. Took me a minute to realise you’re a casino employee.
Yeah I got that, I was just poking fun. Cheers :P
I’m not sure what PCS is, but I’ve never owned a gaming laptop. I game mostly on a desktop, or play games that can run on a fairly standard laptop. Though I’ve not had a laptop since 2018, and got by with a desktop and tablet.
Lemmy is absolute garbage on privacy
I mean, yeah, it is. But that’s because privacy is not what it’s trying to do. If anything, privacy is fundamentally antithetical to what it does. Saying “Lemmy is garbage on privacy” is a bit like saying “Microsoft Word is a terrible IDE”.
Ah damn. I just came across the first time I wanted to actually use this. It requires opt-in from both ends‽ No wonder people aren’t upset, the damn thing is nearly useless.
It’s cool, the Australian Government will say how upset they are about this and go on both buying weapons from, and selling weapons to, Israel.
Oh I agree. I love C#. My uni taught most of its classes in Java, but my work has been mostly C#, and it’s a huge step up. It would be my choice 100% of the time if starting a new project where the decision is between those two. But if I were using Java via OpenJDK, I wouldn’t be afraid of a lawsuit; that’s the only point I wanted to make.
It was expensive for Google, but they’ve done the hard work of establishing the precedent. It’s much easier to fight when you have a strong binding precedent on your side.
So, does it have a long body or a long neck?
Personally I don’t have as much of an issue with when they’re poking fun at him per se, but when they denegrate or damage things he has clearly worked hard on and put a lot of passion into, that’s crossing a line for me. It becomes incredibly mean-spirited.
There are two examples in this compilation video. One at the linked time, and another at 6:33. Especially with how happy he is to see Leslie in the second clip until she destroys his art. It’s honestly heart-breaking. The pie to the face that came a little bit before that was also hard to watch and really felt mean. Dunno if that’s because of how cold and calculated it was (vs the more usual off-the-cuff comments), or because it was a physical act rather than verbal, or something else. But I didn’t like it.
