  • French people are busy hating on themselves. I’ve heard about French people hating on people from Paris so since Ive ment French people during my exchange/foreign semester I tried asking them if they really hate people from Paris and they confirmed it for me. All non Paris French people hate on Paris French people lol

  • List is a bit outdated. Minimum wage in Germany is 12,41€ not 12€. Can’t say how outdated the other entries are though. But that list still doesn’t disprove the statement above. While it could be seen as unlikely there is no rule out there that fast food employees have to make minimum wage. I wouldn’t work at a fast food place for minimum wage. I make minimum wage delivering newspapers on 2 days. I would expect a fast food employee to make more. Haven’t seen a recruitment ad recently because I don’t often go to fast food places (countable on 1 hand for a year) but I’ve seen grocery store recruitment ads for cashiers recently and they get more than minimum wage. I mean of course they do, as if someone would want to work as a cashier for exactly minimum wage

  • Oh yeah. I did an exchange/international semester in Edinburgh. First time living alone and being able to do what I want and when I want it. I like having control over what stuff I eat but it’s not like I hate my mom for how she does things. I appreciate all the work she does and living with your parents just makes being a student a little easier. It’s just sad sometimes, that I can’t as easily try new stuff or eat when I’m actually hungry and not when the designated family eating time is.

  • I’m currently in Scotland and have experienced the exact opposite xd I was kinda shocked when certain shops and stalls at festivals only offered card payment. Like just a few days ago I went into town and saw that the Christmas market was already up and running so I thought I might as well buy myself a mulled wine. At the stall I realized I didn’t have that much cash on me (especially since mulled wine is extremely expensive in Scotland for some reason. Borderline scam lol) and asked if card payment would be okay thinking they would refuse since it’s just a stall on a Christmas market so why would they be able to accept card payments right? The clerk answered “Oh yeah we only accept card anyway”. I was kinda shocked a bit but I got my mulled wine so all’s good :D
