Did you sleep through his 1st administration? It was all about selling out the US for profit for him and his “friends”, and trying to kill the people that live here while blaming minorities, and embracing hate groups as a personal militia.

This time around he ran on the platform of imprisoning political rivals, increasing hate against minorities/Jews/and “radical democrats”, using the military to put down opposition/protests (he was a big fan of Tiananmen Square), taking away people’s insurance, raising taxes while cutting taxes and regulation for the wealthy and crypto scammers and on and on. Just promising endless corruption, and people saw that and said “OK” and voted him in.

But not enough to allow Socialism to destroy our country! That’s why we elected a fascist to deal with this issue, Trump has the “concepts of a plan”!

Cool, let’s make NASA even more about capitalism instead of science, what could go wrong? And surely we won’t see NASA funding funneled off to SpaceX through shady contracts either. Ugh.

His new “lending” crypto scam is close, World Liberty Financial. He just got 30 million from a China-born “entrepreneur” that I’m sure will not be a conflict of interest. This scam apparently uses WFL tokens they are letting people pre-purchase before they even explain how the scam works lol.

Why do we have paperwork for something this important that relies on the new admin doing the right thing instead of a policy with actual consequences? Why does getting a job at many businesses have a higher bar (drug tests/background check/references/etc.) than head of the National Intelligence, or even the President of the United States?!

Hard to control artificial prices if you “drill baby drill YOLO” as a policy, unless the government subsidizes the difference so shareholders/Wall Street can still maximize profits.

We deregulate them (even more) and let them loose on the country unburdened by rules and safety (again even less than are already relaxed rules).

The important part of this is Trump launching his new crypto “lending” platform they can’t explain. It’s surely to be a vessel for bribes to flow into and out of the new administration, and for all his “friends” to try and do all their shady business dealings. Allowing him to keep his new platform/fake-crypto-bank (or even his kids to proxy) while also being able to have it regulated (well apparently deregulated - although it’s already the wild west) seems like a HUGE conflict of interest/liability.

It seems “podcast bros” is a pretty popular term to describe podcasts like Rogan and other hard-right disinformation podcasts.

This would be the State Media, like RT is for Russia, only they aren’t even smart enough to pretend.

Likely not, but what other choice is there? The best bet at this time is to hope we can wrestle the presidency back from Trump in 2028, and in January 2029 if he has enough mental awareness to legally stand trial then the DOJ can recharge and try him.

I think we also got a taste of this with the Tea Party movement on the Right. They wanted to break everything and cared very little about actually governing. It’s about hurting people and sowing bad faith discourse.

Regain (and Nancy x100) were both racist bigots, but Trump (and Vance will be if it gets him attention) are fascist wannabe dictators that have plans of dismantling the whole government, healthcare, and education systems in the US. They have plans to help further the Rights push for voter suppression and ways to cheat (and/or exploiting loopholes without shame).

So Nancy might have shaped dementia Regains policies for the worst, and Bush Sr. may have committed all sorts of crimes against humanity using the CIA, but Trump plans to run us into the ground and sell the scrap to whatever dictator says the nicest things to him.

And Vance may be even more dangerous in that he will have zero control of his party, and will changeling into whatever he’s told to be by whoever will let him be “President”. He would sell his family for fame “or whatever makes sense” in his void of emotion brain.

This is Smith seeing his hands tied because Trump ran out the clock and then enough assholes put him back in office where the Supreme Court and DOJ policy blocks him from being prosecuted for [at least] the next 4 years. It also states that come January 2029 he can refile charges on a then dementia ravaged 82 year old man.

This is the people on the train track’s quandary, except helping the many keeps you practicing medicine and helping people. Helping the one person gets you locked up.

You’re not going to get people to do that without some sort of protection for them and their families. If you’re a Dr. that can save hundreds, or be locked up because you saved 1 person, it’s a tough case for being the fall person.

Now if they could get a union walkout nationwide (or at least statewide), then they have leverage.

If his dementia continues to progress at the rate it is President Vance may be our bigger problem by then.

It comes as California has reported 29 confirmed human cases of bird flu since early October, primarily stemming from cows, according to CDPH.
