Turn the news off and look at the data. It’s important to end these conflicts, but in terms of scale, these are far smaller than the past.

Violence has been going down for centuries. We’re hearing about it more, but it’s declining. It peaked around 1993, and it’s been trending downward ever since.

If you zoom out and look at super long term trends, it’s been declining for centuries.

You don’t choose from where you get your oil. There’s one oil market. You can choose to ban imports of oil from certain countries (like Russia).

The better move is just to migrate further away from oil usage altogether.

This is the way I do it. I still hear about everything, I just don’t need to seek it out. And I still feel very informed enough to vote.

HTML is not a programming language

It’ll take so long before you can even leave your physical ID at home and count on everyone accepting your digital one. And it may never happen that people stop accepting your physical one.

It’s so people can trial having digital IDs. Some TSA and others can scan the new IDs, but not everyone can. So in the meantime, you have to carry your physical one too.

People are pointing out potential negatives, but this has some good possibilities for privacy too. If you show your ID at the liquor store, there’s no need for the clerk to know your name or address. The scanner can just verify your age.

1. Create a massive rocket
2. Burn a massive amount of rocket fuel to get it into space
3. Surround the comet ice in enough artificially made heat resistant materials so it doesn’t burn up in the atmosphere
4. Use more rocket fuel to angle the giant ball of ice so it doesn’t burn up on re-entry
5. Burn some more fuel to slow down its descent once inside the atmosphere so it doesn’t crash into the earth, ending all life in the immediate area
6. Drop the ball of unsalted ice in the ocean

It also ignores that taxes were actually LOWERED on tea just before the Boston Tea Party. This made it so taxed tea was cheaper than smuggled tea and people would be paying that tax without getting representation. Thus, the whole reason for fighting.

The way it was explained to me, praying to a Saint to speak to God on your behalf is like asking a friend to pray for you. You could just pray to God yourself, but for some reason, having more people pray for you is better.
