So they decided to vote for the anti-union capitalist.
So they decided to vote for the anti-union capitalist.
Oh yeah. I forget sometimes that that was the most expensive shitpost of all time.
This was for 2023 and the job market was hot that year. If you switched jobs you probably got a double digit pay rise, and many people were doing it. That’s what drove the number.
However, the job market is kinda crashing right now in 2024. So I don’t think it’s a trend that will continue.
They were betting he’d win and just blatant cronyism and corruption would ensue.
We don’t need more small businesses. We need less corporations, less ultra wealthy and more healthy middle class. This does not solve anything and a one time tax deduction doesn’t make small businesses sustainable when they have to compete against corpos.
“There was not a family relying on me to pay the rent, put food on the table and keep the bills paid by the end of the month,” she added. “But the reality of McDonald’s is that a majority of the folk who are working there today are relying on that income to sustain a household and a family.”
There is a Seinfeld episode about this.
Gen X is too small to matter. Millennials are stepping up and will compete with Boomers for a little while until they finally take over. Thing about Millennials though is that it is a very K shaped generation. About half have had decent success and are conservative/liberal and the other half have been absolutely crushed so it’s kind of a mixed bag and as long as the Boomers have any influence not much is likely to change. GenZ is bigger than Millennials though and should be right behind them. They are very different and much more politically radical, on both the left and right. Things are likely to change with them.
With Skiff going down at the end of the month and Proton gearing up to start data mining, there are very limited options for private email hosting. Basically Tuta and a few others now.
Well this election isn’t about reading anymore. It’s about who’s still alive on election day.
Biden will lose. This is a critical juncture, just like 2016, and the Dems are going to fuck it up again, and then blame the voters for not voting when they had every opportunity as a party to correct their shit and not put a person who actually can’t form coherent sentences as their candidate.
If this is the best they can do, then the party needs major reforms. They are handing this to Trump.
Lmao at being downvoted for asking for tangible examples. Platitudes don’t win elections, folks. See 2016.
The article cherry-picks data to reach it’s conclusions. Unemployment is not the best it’s every been. It has been rising rapidly, it’s up half a percent in the last year, and this print was the first pause we’ve had since March. Unemployment is rising due to Fed fighting inflation with higher interest rates. The higher interest rates are the reason inflation is coming down and Biden has done nothing to address that. The only thing he did was dump our oil reserves on the market when gas prices were rising early in the inflation cycle. That was 2 years ago.
List the best action he has taken for each of these.
Biden has also had 0 impact on that. The Fed is managing that because Congress doesn’t do anything but pass legislation for lobbyists and the Fed is also driving up unemployment as a result.
He has done nothing to directly impact the economy. We are in a money-printing generated gilded age where life is tolerable for most and better than ever for a few. As soon as something breaks, everyone below the top 10% will be thrown on the street into abject poverty and we are all just waiting around for that to happen.
That’s the thing about Bernie. He’s hard to smear. Unlike, “my husband cheated on me while serving as President” Hillary. You’re delusional.
Companies don’t spin-off new competition. That would get everyone of the executives and the board fired. They kill competition. That’s why it’s mergers and acquisitions. Not spin-offs that meet the needs of consumers.
Members who support Trump will never hear this story so it won’t change their mind.
