  • But part two states you can create carbon copies of anything you scan or create new things from your imagination. Part one states that touching things all the details of it within the simulation are encoded into your brain.

It serves to reason if you sampled a dozen different woods, you could manifest a wholly unique wood using your knowledge of how the other woods work within the system.

You don’t even need to understand how they work in our reality, just how the simulation handles them. So if you can figure how the simulation codes the processor on your phone, you could then generate the highest possible specs in a processor and manifest it into your phone. The unwritten rule here has that you can instantly learn everything, the rest of the simulation is yours to bend.

  • I apologize now for the hostility I’m about to through your way, but this is probably the post the upsets new the most on this thread. You have 4 paragraphs and 864 words, explaining a fantastically well thought out premise and long term plan that is so absolutely achievable that you could literally do this right now with a like $100k extra.

With a mix of imagination and diligent scanning you could make yourself your own distinct content with no long term tectonic impact on the planet and a technocratic government that runs everything with a goal of perfect balance between human comfort and long term global stability. You could retire there with your family within the first year to watch your children grow up as the first generation of a true utopia.

You could populate the universe with so many tardigrades that the simulation you exist in crashes, or place a bowl of soup on the head of every cat on the planet, or make a new constellation to name after your wife, but instead the real life version of God mode isn’t actually part of your 10 year plan. It’s just a well managed lottery win. It’s this what those wackos are talking about when they preach about internalizing the system? Because if so they’re a lot less nuts than I originally thought.

Get off lemmy, do some research into properties in Alaska and gold speculation. This is so genuinely possible of a life goal that I genuinely believe you deserve to achieve it.

  • So I did the napkin math, if you pick two random pills and two random pills, there’s a 19.05% chance to get something objectively bad, a 28.57% chance of getting something useless, and a 52.38% chance of getting something objectively good for a total 80.95% chance to get something not bad. Assuming infinite loops are banned and you don’t have a genuine interest in a given pill, 4 random pills is the best call.

There’s also a 2.27% chance of getting 2 random pills on each of those 4 tries.

  • Yeah, plus the diamond cartel probably doesn’t need competition, they have a hard enough time keeping the rock relevant.

You’d be better off asking for shoeboxes of more common materials so you could skirt the inevitable questions on the matter and not get flagged as a counterfeiter or something. Though personally, the majority of things I’m interested in owning can fit in a shoebox anyways so why not cut out the middleman?

  • It’s my biggest gripe against the left. Imagine betting your life on a game of football where one side is playing no contact tag rules and the other is playing full lethality death ball rules. We’ll sit here and talk about how they’re not playing fair, but pride parades won’t march with guns. We’ll cry about how horrid it is that they force their religion into our schools but we won’t use the same system to fight it.

The left will die for their beliefs, but the right will kill for them. Only one of those methods leaves survivors.
