Retirement sounds great till you try it. The expression is “even your garage can’t get any cleaner”. This refers to the boredom retirement can be for some. The solution that I found was a part time job, not for the money, but doing something I enjoyed. You no longer have the pressure of a “real” job. The best job that you will ever have is the job that you really don’t need.

You make an excellent point. Years ago you could actually appeal a subreddit ban or even an Admin total ban from reddit. They still have an “appeal” process but it seems like their new policy is once you are banned that’s it. They have no interest in listening to a logical explanation… They are also checking your past posts and comments history. Got banned recently from a group NOT because of anything I posted or commented on but because I had posted something in another group that they didn’t like. Fuck all of them over there.
So sad that we have gotten to this level of us vs them. You see someone who needs your help would you ever even think of asking them who they voted for before helping them

I don’t know what you are talking about. I have stated that I am still banned at reddit. No one let me back and I believe that their appeal process is now automated. So in effect you can never actually make a case as to why you should be reinstated.

I did NONE of those things. I have never posted any kind of porn anywhere and never would.

LOL. I never once called for violence. I am not white and not a racist. And I never even called another poster an asshole. My thing was always lets have a civil discussion. And I guess my point is that all the things that we both would agree on that should cause a ban did not apply to me.
It’s been a year since this happened. I honestly don’t remember, but I think it was a comment. A comment where I was paraphrasing a point made in a published news article. Apparently just mentioning something that others didn’t “like” was enough to piss people off.

"Recession" is a defined economic term. It began while biden was in office. I also agree on your point about competency but I think we can agree that most people vote with their wallet in mind. I am happy for you personally being better off now financially. You must be during something special to somehow being able to out place inflation.
I will agree with your "moving the goal posts" comment. But my point is still that we all lived through a media barrage with everything positive about the vax. Even after they had to retract what they initially told us about it protecting you and others. Yet there has been no significant reporting on adverse effects. And I should mention I got the vax early on with zero side effects.
Ironically I was much better off financially as were millions of others during the Trump years than since he left office. I guess that's how I judge competency.
Can you site one broadcast or cable news program (other than Fox) that has ever mentioned this issue? Or the NYT or Washington Post?

I saw my retired parents waste away in front of the TV every day. As mentioned before … the best job is the one that you don’t need. So besides enjoying my part time “get out of the house” job there are other benefits. I save money and stay healthy by only drinking on Friday and Saturday. These of course are not my work days. I also don’t go out for meals during the week. I have retired neighbors that seem to spend 5 or 6 days a week out for lunch or dinner and boozing everyday. That would never work for me
