My issue with ticketmaster is the shifting cost of a ticket. If you pre-order, you’ll spend more than the “face value” of the ticket. And if you wait 2 weeks, and can still get tickets, it’s half the face value. There is no face value if the value keeps shifting.

I think I understand your sentiment, but I don’t think that’s a fair take. I subscribe to Spotify, but I also go to 6-10 shows per year, buy merch directly. The music industry has changed, and live entertainment is king. I’m sure you have an opinion for the stance you’re presenting, but that’s statement is pretty inflammatory by itself.

Nope, this was an official, legally sold product. Came with a keyboard, mouse, 40gb HDD, and PS2 ethernet adapter. Required an 8MB memory card to function and installed via command line. It’s a pretty cool piece of history.
The tax loophole was a perceived reason, but it was never proven to be true. The closest admission to it was Sony losing a lawsuit related to the situation and Sony admitting that something related to Yabasic was intended to skirt EU tax law, not Linux for PS2. I never heard of Yabasic before today.

Just because Linux as an operating system can have that experience, doesn’t mean everyone wants or, really, needs that experience. Some people buy cars to drive and want it to just work. Others buy cars to play with. Some people dj music that is already made, others buy a guitar.

I agree. It’s the current state of our society. Nobody likes to be challenged or have their feels hurt, which leads to avoidance of the challenge. It’s a catch-22. There’s little value in a non challenging interview. There’s no value in an interview that doesn’t occur at all.
The challenge is that in this current Trumpworld political climate is that news organizations that push back or argue in the slightest would never get additional interviews. Similar to how game publishers stop sending review copies to publications who haven’t reviewed their previous works in a positive light.

I try to post content, but I’ve found that it’s certainly more clunky than submitting to reddit ever was. Share url to sync or jeroba isn’t as smoooooth as submitting to reddit through RIF. I wish there was an easier way on desktop which is where I do most of my surfing.
