What makes this antisemitic? As far as I can tell, the issue is that the other competitor was an official representative of Israel, not that they were Jewish
I think the matter at hand is antizionism, not antisemitism
Israel has a history of employing incredible violence against Iran in the most literal sense of that phrase.

You literally can, just like any number of other valid bases for objections to arguments put forward. If the judge rules it to be such a defense, it would be struck from the record and the jury instructed to disregard it, and if the lawyer keeps on it, they would be held in contempt of court. Furthermore, if it is plainly a case of such a defense and the judge lets it fly, the prosecution can claim mistrial.
Perhaps there are other ways of banning it, but that is the obvious one in the American framework.

To treat it as a valid legal defense is an abomination and judges have countless times ruled in favor of the perpetrator on just the basis of that defense.
Some other countries (and just a couple US states) explicitly ban the gay panic defense.

I’ve seen/heard of people specifically disavowed the term “queer” for their personal identity, but only a couple times and I, like others here, much prefer “queer” as a catchall term for brevity in all cases where there isn’t someone objecting to it being applied to them.

We aren’t functioning on the same timescale or known factors as the Wright Brothers were.
The US had in excess of a thousand killings by cops that were officially reported that year as well (likely more that were unreported, and I have at least some evidence for my claim).
