So what makes the stuff stores buy more expensive? Like you can create a chain of price raising as far as you want but ultimately it’s just someone deciding to raise prices and that creating inflation.

Again, only a handful of countries own US debt and I don’t even know how US debt interest rates are going to connect to inflation in other countries. Like China and Japan are the largest debt holders and their inflation is vastly different.

There are a handful of currencies backed by USD but most are not. I only know of Belize dollar, the Hong Kong dollar and the Dirham as backed by USD, as far as I know those are the only ones.

I don’t think the federal reserve is active outside the US. Also printing money was the cause of inflation when gold was backing the money, now the worth of money is only governed by what you can buy with it. Like you can double the amount in circulation but if no one raises prices there would be no inflation.

Quality is actually not bad. Like yea, they usually don’t have modern wiring but since the construction materials used are insanely durable and thick renovating those buildings with new windows, heating, pipes and wires gets you like the best possible apartment. You will never hear your neighbours, winters are warm with minimal heating and that building will last for like centuries with minimal maintenance.

I’m not so sure it would. Like, yea, the US has enough military to take on like the other top 5 militaries in the world and win but NATO doesn’t really need that. It’s mostly about defence and the only country currently invading countries in Europe is Russia which can’t seem to beat Ukraine alone. The biggest issue if the US pulls out is supporting Ukraine but defensively NATO is fine without the US I think.

Not really, NATO as an organizational is made of of the military and equipment of all members. Also NATO and US bases are different, if the US pulls out it’s not taking NATO bases with it. Also I’m pretty sure the US doesn’t use NATO bases for its military operations but their own bases but I’m too lazy to look that up. Also also NATO countries defence strategy has been more like “If you attack one member you attack everyone” so no one really has.

Nah, the US is the largest part of NATO but every member contributes and it’s more like the only reason Russia hasn’t done a “special military operation” here.

Yea, didn’t pan out for Netanyahu, doesn’t change the motive for this rescue though. Israel seems far more interested in killing Palestinians than rescue anyone, they even killed a bunch of hostages instead of rescuing them previously.

The IDF flattened Gaza, I’d be surprised if even 20 hostages are alive at this point. Also even if they gave them back I doubt Israel would stop, this rescue was pretty much done to keep their coalition government together, they haven’t been too interested in getting anyone back outside of that.

It’s also that the liberal parties have done fuck all for people and the left parties are basically non-existent, like I have noticed the far right parties are also promising to do something for housing. Thankfully my country has a functional left enough party I can vote for but France and Germany are pretty cooked.

In Ukraine support to continue fighting has polled really high, over 70% support is what I saw at the start of this year so I’m not sure where you are getting that Ukraine is forced to fight. Like I’m sure some people have gotten conscripted that don’t want to fight but saying the entire Ukraine military is fighting against it’s will is absolutely false.

Oh, my preferred outcome for Ukraine is for Russia to pull out their troops, I’m very much for the fighting to stop in that manner. But that outcome is as likely as Israel just stopping oppressing Palestinians out of the blue.

Israel isn’t going to stop their war on their own accord, just like Russia. And just like Russia even if there is a temporary cesefire they will keep the territory taken and try again in some time, that has been the history of both Israel and Russia.

So the best outcome would be to give Ukraine the weapons they want to defend themselves because without those the war won’t end, Russia will just take Ukraine and they will get more mass graves of civilians and freedom fighters. I’m just sad Palestine doesn’t have a proper army that could be armed to defend Palestinians.

The idea that advocating for a nation to be able to defend itself against an aggressor means you need to be on the front line is truly pants on head retarded though.
