Why would I even need to electrocute the shark when they’re going to naturally be repelled by all this bleach I have flowing through my veins?
As a pedestrian that has been hit twice, I will confirm that getting hit by a GMC Yukon was a worse experience than getting hit by a Toyota Tercel.
It’s kind of like the scene “there ain’t no rule a dog can’t play basketball” from Air Bud. The constitution has set minimum qualifications to be president, but didn’t bother with the disqualifications because it would be insane to try to conceive of every possible scenario that would disqualify an individual from seeking the presidency.
I’m not Trans, and abso-fucking-lutely don’t want anyone asking what I’ve got between my legs anytime I need to take a shit.
Pro-life, unless they mouth off or something.
I’m not sure I understand the logic of her even telling this story. So like if she finds herself unable to “train” a disobedient state judiciary or something, is she saying that this is her plan B?

No way, Hunger Games stole their premise from some random YA book series. /s
It is a bit destabilizing when you find yourself included in one of the many broad groups that he wants to jail, or that he hopes burn in hell, etc. Then you see his sycophants cheering these statements and realize how unsafe you are among your neighbors.
I don’t want to lose any game of Jenga. Am I an overly competitive asshole?
To a large extent I agree, but i think anti slander laws are a generally accepted precedent that limit what people can say to or about another person. It’s possible that the new law follows similar logic, and is intended to prevent harm in much the same way.
The people had the opportunity to choose during the primary whether they wanted to vote for someone else who holds mostly similar views (e.g. the same political party) to their own, or the person currently doing the job. There weren’t a lot of people from the same political party that offered themselves up as challengers to the person currently doing the job, for a variety of reasons. Our system heavily favors the person currently doing the job in our primary elections, but challenges have been made before, just not this time.
I’m not totally familiar with how the Scottish legal system works, but wouldn’t the line be drawn by a jury of peers, and not necessarily the people in power?
I didn’t remember the mushroom people reference until I started singing the song in my head, and then lol
I definitely appreciate the cheats around paywalls and mostly avoid pay walled sites myself, but I do occasionally hope that there are enough patrons of the people reporting the news to ensure that we’re not just seeing the stories that one or two rich-ass benefactors (exagerated of course) are paying to see on their platforms.
The comment seems more intended to push voters away from Biden and toward an RFK option than convincing anyone to vote for Trump. It’s stupid and easy to attack back, but we also need to be careful about what the strategy is.
Just “across the world”? So if he suddenly converts all his holdings to starregistry.com certificates then it’s untouchable. Check mate.
The desire of the person saying it to get clicks.
Is a low IQ correlated to a person’s propensity to commit violent acts? As a person with low IQ, I don’t feel like prison is either less of a deterent from committing crimes, or less likely to be a reforming experience, but I’ve never been to prison and recognize that my impressions would only be an anecdote and not something to draw conclusion from.
