It’s hard to have this argument without coming across as advocating for eugenics, but I completely agree. The fact that increasing women’s education is so strongly correlated with decreased population growth is not a coincidence.
The difference between a eugenicists and whatever the hell I am is that I think the solution is to educate more people, not to control their right to reproduce.
He was the US secretary of state in the 1970s who finally died today after far too long living free. The 3 page rolling stone article is about as quickly as somebody could summarize his more notable war crimes. Admittedly the article is pretty biased, but also fuck hearing the other side of the story about a man responsible for so much death and pain.
Tldr: he extended the Vietnam war for about 5 years because it benefited him personally, he convinced Nixon to bomb Cambodia and laos which were not involved in any combat with us, he was involved in the coups that overthrew the democraticly elected governments of Peru and Argentina, he encouraged the use of nuclear bombs in battle on numerous occasions, and that’s just for starts. The rolling stone article claims he is indirecty responsible for about 4 million deaths. They don’t list the directly responsible number, but its likely in the one million range.
I'm an American late millennial, I definitely remember this. I'm guessing it's 85-95 millennials.
I'm always down for a femboy bbq
For the life of me, I cannot figure out why they got rid of playlist radio. It makes Spotify so much worse and I can't imagine it saves them any money
You're missing the only one that actually works for me. Get up at roughly the same time every morning. I won't do it, but I should.
I feel like your mixing up Julian Assange with Snowden.
Personally I think both started off doing what they believed was right, and both fled to the non-extradition of russia; but Assange not Snowden kept doing shit and it stopped feeling genuine.
I could be wrong - if Snowden has done things far worse than I’m aware shoot some links with credible sources.
Actually you meant compliance, security has other random stuff. /s
I’ve seen a ton of people saying the new season is bad and I just want to put out there that I think it’s pretty good.
I don’t think bender is hitting the mark like he did in the first couple seasons, but the other characters are doing great. And let’s be honest, bender has been overused for a long time. I think people have built up Futurama to some god-like show that never had a dud joke, but half of them have always missed the mark and the other half have always been amazing. I don’t think this season or this episode are any different.
The first episode made fun of their new network which I saw a lot of complaining over, but it’s what they’ve done for the first episode of every reboot.
The second episode was pretty good (though I think the weakest of the three).
This episode was filled with clevar jokes. The premise alone was great, their excuse for why this was happening was hysterical, and the interactions felt right - like it hadn’t been 10 years since they were together.
There are a few nuggets that are still only obvious when you actually think about it. Like don’t fight with a hill behind you because you might need to retreat, do fight with a forest behind you for the same reason.
