Low skill users will use what comes installed on their machine, so installation quirks like that are not relevant for them. They don’t install Windows either.
So, do we agree that saying that “if a service is free, you are the product” doesn’t apply to FOSS services?
Sure, but that’s exactly what people mean when they say FOSS service.
Regardless, that’s not the discussion we’re having. The point is that those services are free of charge, and you’re not the product. And that a big reason for that is that they are FOSS services.
No, they’re not mutually exclusive. These services are software.
The free in FOSS doesn’t mean free of charge. All those paid services are still FOSS.
Ok, so what do you call Bitwarden, matrix, openstreetmaps, Mastodon, or Lemmy?
and they can't track you if you have a blank user agent.
They absolutely can. A blank user agent is a fingerprint like any other.
So, answer it? Rich or Rick? Both are well established.
Answer the question. Why reply just to dodge it? Could have simply not engaged. It's so weird to me.
There's no such link in their comment history either.
Works perfectly on mine.
Why would I like to know that you're proud of potentially causing suffering to your pets and other animals?
Even just today I had to rescue a kitten who had been yelling for hours near my house because their owners let them outside. At least she was microchipped so we could find them easily, but she was not happy about it at all. Came running after me as soon as she saw me, and ran inside the house when I opened the kitchen door.
Good thing you don't have cats then, sounds like you'd be an irresponsible owner.
They deserve to explore and be happy
Do they deserve to explore and suffer horrible injuries and/or death? All the while decimating local bird populations, and, if not spayed or neutered, creating more kittens to live lives full of suffering and hardship?
This is what the oil companies want you to think. The less hope you have the longer they’ll keep making profit. They still receive trillions in public subsidies, it’s criminal.
We may never go back, but if we did cut 100% of emissions tomorrow, it would have a huge impact. These penguins would have a much better chance for the future, for one, and so would plenty of other species.
Have had absolutely zero issues on slrpnk even after the big Reddit migrations.
How about Stardust?
You can also self-host bitwarden.
