My main issue however is just how UTTERLY UNPLAYABLE it was for most people’s systems on launch. The number of crashes and performance issues rivaled that of even Cyberpunk, and I still regularly play Cyberpunk. it was a complete and total disaster for many many people, and while it’s likely fixed by now it was such a struggle and headache to get through that I’ll likely never finish it.

Grapehene has historically offered extended support, but for the longest support time the pixel 8 isnt a bad option. The 7a is also I think the king of budget phones right now but the 8 is on sale for a few hundred off the last I checked :)

It isn’t like that at all. T-Mobile would’ve given you a better deal for taking a contract such as that, HP just decided they didn’t want you to even THINK about purchasing ink or something from anyone else but them. It’d be more like if T-Mobile sold you a phone that you paid full price for, and then decided they’d remotely lock your phone and wipe it if you tried to buy a charging cable from anywhere but their store.

We have no idea what kind of hardware will be released, tech can go through all kinds of spikes even if seems to have leveled out. So while I agree the next generation or even future generations for awhile after that won’t significantly improve in 4 years, I disagree with the sentiment. Also:
