I’m not sure what we’re referring to when we say pay back the debts, but as far as a societal collapse due to constant population growth - is that not just the basis of nature? If resources become scarce, population will decline since you can’t provide for everyone’s needs at that point. If resources are plenty, population can grow. I don’t see how a decline in population leads to societal collapse. Some countries are facing declining populations now, for other reasons, and they’re not collapsing. It’s a potential problem that would need to be faced, but collapse seems extreme to me.
If you care enough too you should submit it as a bug (if you haven’t). It’s for sure not a dead project.
It was updated last week.
I’m a follower, I don’t post, reply, like, or anything. I just want to see what the people I follow have to say, and they haven’t moved anywhere else.
Thank you for your input.
Twitter: it’s still all over, under most popular posts. I don’t know if they moderate it out or not.
They used to try, now they don’t at all.
I think it’s nerds. /s
I think a lot of the lemmy userbase are at least somewhat techy (also see the Linux communities), and a lot of techy people like Star Trek.
When you were younger did you ever watch a sibling or a friend play a game? Same vibe, but it’s a streamer you find enjoyable or entertaining.
Rice, salsa, cheese, sour cream, wing it from there with seasonings and proteins like beans or meat.
So I tried again because of your comment and found my issue. I wanted to keep windows and try out Linux mint and I didn’t want to buy a USB drive so I used unetbootin to do whatever it does with the iso. I used the same HDD for the iso partition and where I wanted to install to (I have an SSD where windows is and 2 HDD). I guess you cannot do that because it couldn’t unmount the drive? I moved the little fat32 iso partition over to my SSD and now it’s installing.
I tried yesterday. The install got stuck at detecting file system and after a few hours I gave up.
I've never needed the startup repair, but the troubleshooter does occasionally fix network or audio related things. I don't do enough to need it very often anymore.
My app only has the plus currently. I think it's a dumb change. The type of change you make because you need to change something. Nobody that is competent enough to use a smart phone app would see any benefit from it being changed to a plus and as others have pointed out… it's a music app, plus and minus are usually associated with volume.
It means get practicing buster.
What we need is something like fediverse, but for online videos
That's Peertube right? I haven't used it.
My vizio also starts on the last input. So it only goes to the smart TV stuff when I want it too. It's older (E50x or something like that) but it's been getting updates so I'm assuming it's the same on newer ones still.
I also drink these. I like the chocolate flavor.
… just buy audiophile speakers and use a dac and amp? what do you mean?
