Putting the actual news aside, I fucking hate how every time I read or hear this guy’s name, the first person I think of is Mark Rober.

In a really weird way this might actually be helpful to the campaign. When RFK dropped out of the race, both Kamala and Trump saw a boost in the polls, meaning there are people that supported RFK that were more Democratic leaning than Republican leaning, though it should be noted Trump went up only a few points more than Kamala did.

JD Vance has been the most unpopular VP pick in modern American history. While RFK is of course weird, I personally wouldn’t be surprised if he’s seen in a more favourable light than Vance is. The swap could potentially win some of RFK’s supporters who moved their support to Kamala over to Trump and the Republicans, and could give the opportunity for “unity” messaging considering Trump would be bringing in a former opponent as well as the Democratic association with the Kennedy name.

Will say though, not sure how effective this would be compared to the Trump campaign simply swapping Vance with someone else that was on the original running for VP pick. Still shocked knowing that Burgum was going to be picked before Trump was swayed to choose Vance, and that Tim Scott wasn’t his go-to considering Scott’s potential for Republicans playing identity politics and his talent in campaign fundraising.

Honestly fantastic choice. The more he talks over people and interrupts, the more unhinged and insensible he appears to the average voter. Political commentator I watch regularly has been saying this for months to leave his mic on at the debate rather than mute him.

Was looking into trying to find an AI to make stories from images, since I have to deal with the unfortunate reality that for a fandom I like, just about all the fanfic is unbelievably badly written to the point that an AI does a better job making interesting stories. I know they exist, just a question of where the ones that work are.

Simple ask you’d think wanting to find shit that generates stories from images. Search engines hardly helped, so it was like, fine, I’ll ask an AI about AI. Surely it’ll help me find the tool I need, right?

Somehow the results it gave me were worse than the search engine itself.

Gotta say, as someone who identifies as a progressive, she’s really been beating my expectations compared to what she was saying and doing back in the 2020 primaries.

Okay but seriously, it’s not like the IDF hasn’t been dehumanizing Palestinian lives for as long as we can remember. They were literally purposely shooting the legs of peaceful protestors during The Great March of Return in 2018 let alone the shit that’s happened since October 7th.

Not denying this, but can I see a source for that? This is the first time I’ve heard of this as someone in Canada and would like to learn more, though can’t say this surprises me unfortunately.
