Since the formation of the Democratic Party there haven’t ever been two Democrats elected subsequently without the first one dying in office. The pendulum is constantly swinging back and forth, getting further to the right with each swing.

Hell, that might have been the Dems’ original plan: get Biden elected a second time, have him retire during his second term, then Harris gets all the goodwill and she might have been able to keep a D in the White House until 2032. It would have been a shitty plan, doomed to fail even worse, but it would explain why they waited so damn long for Biden to step aside.

Universal Healthcare. Wealth cap. Breaking up any corporation that is in more than one industry. Universal education. Complete medical and student debt forgiveness. Complete cessation of aid to governments engaged in war crimes. Complete eradication of for-profit weapon manufacturing. Universal Basic Income.

A party for the working class would be the biggest tent of all. But focusing on divisiveness is more profitable.

There is a pretty good chance that such brainless devotion could work in favor of democracy. After the Toupee is dead and buried the Republicans will have to find a different cult leader to rally behind, but if half of their voter base keeps voting for a corpse it’ll split the party and Democrats will sweep the elections.

I am all but praying that Harris is pulling a bait and switch on Wall Street. It’s the only way I see fascism being actually stopped, instead of merely delayed or slowed by 4-8 years.

Well obviously it’s the Western powers that gave a bunch of displaced Jews land after WWII, despite no legitimate claim to the area, and then proceeded to keep meddling in Middle Eastern affairs so they could get cheap oil. And the biggest of those Western powers directly gives taxpayer money to war profiteers so there’s a direct financial incentive to keep the genocide going.
