People like to use things that are used by many people. Not that surprising.

I doubt most Windows users care enough to hate it.
Another very simple solution that will work well is just a google docs file that you share with people.
Quantum computers eh? Yeah that’s not even remotely true. Currently they are a scientific curiosity with very very little practical use.
You can also use something like onedrive or Google drive or any of the cloud storage systems out there.
ZeroTier is another alternative. Don’t really know the differences but if you’re googling about tailscale it might be worth a check.
And now they nuked the entire IA.
Well done.
Intentions were probably correct but this result is kinda ass.
He is proposing not to break them and work toward changing the law first.
I used TiddlyWiki (self hosted) extensively for like three years but now as I changed jobs I want to get start using just a bunch of markdown files. Editing with VS code on desktop and Markor on mobile.
Unfortunately no syncing yet because I keep my work documents in my work account’s onedrive and can’t sync it with my phone. I think there are apps that do it but I’d have to go through IT to get permission etc so haven’t done that yet
Now all I need to find is a good method for searching throughmy markdown files. The search on vs code is alright but I’d like some thing that I can quickly pull up with global shortcut like ctrl alt s or something. Maybe I’ll just make a python program to do it for me or try to find something ready-made.
Yup. Currently working at a company that has machines still running ms-dos due to them being critical and still working fine.
Well they’re fine until you can’t find replacement parts on Ebay anymore.
Full price books? Digital. Then second hand physical (rarely) and books from a library.
Black Russian is my thing most of the time. Also gin sour without egg is great.
Chili and bean soups sound great, I’ll take a look, thanks!
Yeah maybe, haven’t really looked at what I could do with one. Though they’re probably a decent bit more expensive.
Got a robo vacuum (Roborock q revo). Amazing stuff. It runs every day and the first floor has never been cleaner.
Air fryer has been fun though I’m still trying to learn what works well with it.
3D printer (Bambulab A1)! So fun.
I just realised that I’ve spent like 2k on gadgets in the past two months oops.
Though I really really want a rice cooker but haven’t pulled the trigger… yet.
Something a bit cheaper is this home made bread that needs no kneading and is amazing.
3dl water (1.3 cups) pouch of dry yeast (11g, 0.38oz) 1tsp salt 1tbs maple syrup (or whatever syrup) 2dl of dried oats (0.85 cups) 5dl of wheat flour (2.1 cups) 2tbs neutral oil (haven’t tried olive) Seeds if you like!
Mix up dry ingredients. Add lukewarm water and mix (add a splash or two extra if it looks like not everything is mixed into the dough). Do not knead, just mix. Add oil and mix slightly. Put a baking sheet in a bread pan and pour the dough in it. Add a spritz of water on the dough surface (not necessary though). Cover and leave in room temperature for 30min. Bake at 175C (350f) for 45-60min.
I think I’ll make one.
Yeah, so problem isn’t phones. Problem is that teachers don’t have enough authority. If teachers cannot take away the phone, then just toss them out.
I feel like this “ban phones” is getting common but it does not fix the actual problem of teachers not being able to keep discipline in class.
Man, I wish I could chromecast netflix from my phone but apparently Netflix now requires you to use their app.
I should get smarttube though.
Oh yeah that’s true, I should try it as I use it as my main search engine nowadays.
Man, and it works great. It is waaaaay more common to find good answers to a question from a bunch of randoms on the Internet than trying to get an actual answer from a random website. Sometimes you find bs but you can usually quite quickly filter it out, and it gives a good basis from which to then continue to search on the topic.
I guess it is more following of people of certain topics that talk about them in twitter. Like someone follows few people abour their hobby, some politicians maybe, and people of other interests they have. I haven’t really gotten the idea that people use it to talk to friends per say, or follow them, but for sure people do that as well but maybe it is not the main point.
Though I could be spewing shit because I don’t use it. Just the vibe I’ve been getting over the years.
