I have a large solar array, which makes a huge difference, but it definitely doesn't zero my bill. The most expensive hours are not during prime solar production, and I don't have a solar battery setup yet
80 cents per kwh here lol. I'm fine with high prices if they aren't just profits for the owning class, but this is absurd
Lemonade is not just lemon water, there is a requirement of shitloads of sugar in there.
If I took a tree and shoved it in a hole, then called it a door, you'd be like nah that's not a door. Yet you put leaves in water and it's tea.
This dude's argument is all wrong
Still got loot crates and crap, still not gonna be that into it
There are centrifugal fans that are quite flat but they intake airflow from a different axis they exhaust it from. Could still work
"Sent home for the week" fuckin jackasses. Keep working on it until it's done, these short work schedules for our representatives are dumb as all hell
If the Democrats are worried maybe run a candidate that isn't 100 and make changes that matter. If both parties are right of center there's gonna have to be a new one that's left
Well, we already ignore most of the others in the name of "safety" so what's one more.
The way out of it is improving all of the other parts of American life. Improve healthcare so we don't have so many desperately unhealthy poor people. Tax the rich and regulate white collar noncrimes (and enforce the crimes) so we don't have as many desperately poor people. Improve the availability of housing, reform the police, fund public schools and pay teachers a decent wage, idfk what to do with the media but that sucks too. Get rid of first past the post voting so people feel like they can actually enact change through their representatives.
Virtually every aspect of non-wealthy American life is currently "in a crisis" as reported by the media. Further reducing the rights that individuals have is not the answer to there being a surplus of people past their breaking point.
Looking at gun violence as a gun problem instead of a violence problem is shortsighted, when people have less access to guns than ever.
To be fair to the other side, it’s entirely possible (and even common) to have worked in a field for 20 years while learning completely incorrect things about it. Or learning nothing.
People say things like “I’ve used a computer every day for 20 years, I think I know how it works” and then ask if they should “reboot the hard drive” and then they power cycle the monitor.
Just like oil and natural gas?
Yes, which both cost many orders of magnitude more than water right now. If water was dollars per gallon like fuel is, we’d be in an extremely bad spot for livability.
“people choosing to shoot other people” or, for a very substantial percentage, people choosing to shoot themselves
I’m very tall and I sincerely disagree with your first claim. The person in front of me reclining brings the back of their chair directly into my knees, I don’t need leg room I need knee room. If I then recline it pushes the bottom of my chair forward making it even worse. It is literally the worst of all possible solutions for me.
For future proofing it can be worthwhile to get a pcie4 drive for a pcie3 machine.
That said, even if you have a pcie4 machine it may not be worth it to bother with pcie4 storage. I was annoyed about loading times with baldurs gate 3 and decided to try installing it to a RAM disk (yes, using 130GB of RAM)… Barely loaded any faster. Turns out the main bottleneck is elsewhere and my storage was not the issue
I’m neurodivergent
Godsdamned illithids
Exactly this myself. Debian lxc with jellyfin repo added, media on ZFS with passthrough mountpoints, very performant and easy to maintain.
Docker just adds layers of complexity for no benefit here
