Like when you send a .7z instead of a .zip or .rar to a friend or a teacher because that’s what your computer has installed and they’re like “Oh No, not one of those, now I have to install 7Zip” even though the same program that opens .rar also opens .7z I feel like people are way more annoyed when they receive a .7z
Who will buy WinRar licenses now, with this unfair anti-competitive move?
Maybe they were already thrown money at before Microsoft made this move
I bought one about three weeks ago.
If Microsoft is any good, they will buy like 10 WinRar licenses so the owner can go on an early retirement!
They worked together with WinRAR for that. Windows will only support extraction. You’ll still need the program to create the rar archive.
