United Auto Workers (UAW) President Shawn Fain took a swipe at former President Trump, saying he serves a “billionaire class,” a day ahead of Trump’s visit to Detroit where he will speak to union workers.

When asked on CNN about the former president’s trip to Detroit, Fain said, “I see no point in meeting with him because I don’t think the man has any bit of care about what our workers stand for, what the working class stands for.”

“He serves a billionaire class and that’s what’s wrong this country,” Fain continued.

Trump is expected to travel to Detroit on Wednesday, where he will meet with current and former union workers amid their ongoing strike against the “Big Three” automakers — Ford, General Motors and Stellantis.

Fain said it is “pathetic irony” Trump will reportedly hold a rally at a non-union plant in Macomb County, Mich.

Pathetic irony indeed. Logical thinking would demand he'd be booed off the podium. - But by now I'm also a strong believer in the incredible stupidity of Americans… so not sure what will happen.

this is true and it relates to this topic because multiple studies have shown that unions don't survive if brown people make up too big of a percentage of the workers; so if you're going to talk to a union and you see more white faces than any other, you now know to whom you're talking to and can start to understand why trump will always have an audience with union members despite trump himself being anti-union.
