A two-page document obtained by NBC News maps out a possible independent Senate bid, touting Sinema's record and suggesting she'd win over more Republicans than Democrats.
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, the Arizona Democrat-turned-independent, hasn't publicly announced whether she's running for re-election next year. But privately, her political team has been mapping out a campaign strategy, pitching donors and potential supporters on how she can win the marquee Senate race.
In a two-page prospectus obtained by NBC News, Sinema charts out a path to victory as an independent candidate in Arizona, with a glimpse of her possible campaign message and new details about the unique cross-party coalition she would seek to build in the competitive state.
Under the banner “Kyrsten’s Path to Victory,” the document says Sinema can win by attracting 10% to 20% of Democrats, 60% to 70% of independents and 25% to 35% of Republicans.
She is a liar and tricked Democrats into voting for her, then she stopped a lot of the legislation we wanted.
I don't see her getting elected by Democrats again. Being a liar who hates workers she would be a good fit for Republicans.
Terrible person.
Anybody remember Joe Lieberman?
Just seeing his name makes my blood boil. He fucked over the country so bad.
And he's trying to do it again. Look at who is involved in the "No Labels Party."
suggesting she’d win over more Republicans than Democrats
Gee, I wonder why that is…
To which the scorpion replied, “because that’s my nature”
She reminds me of that one white lady who worked I think for like NAACP who identified as black for years, but was in fact not black at all. Like it's clear she was never a Democrat, I wonder how much else of her persona is fake.
Rachel Dolezal? Or was there another one?
Name doesn't really matter.
“Kyrsten Sinema has been a stalwart advocate for Joe Biden’s agenda…,” Tate Mitchell, a spokesman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said in a statement.
Boy that’s news to Joe Biden.
I think SNL nailed everything about this despicable pol and it didn't even veer that much into parody.
Sinema needs to be fed through a woodchipper slowly.
Not too surprising from her. She has changed a lot in the last two years.
She changed the minute she was sworn into the Senate. And by changed I mean showed her true self. She was never anything other than a corporate plant meant to slow or stop progressive legislation.
She didn't change, she just let the mask slip.
Definitely a DINO.
That's…not the four letter word I was thinking of.
RINO?
Dolt? Yeah she seems like a dolt
That might not be the worst position for her to take. She’s already burned any bridges she may have had with AZ Democrats, so there’s no point trying to take votes from Gallego. If the Republicans put up a batshit candidate like Kari Lake, Sinema can try to scoop up the few remaining non-crazy Republican voters and conservative-leaning independents. She’ll still lose though, because she fucking sucks.
Vote Traitor! What have you stupid voters got to lose??
Sinema needs to be fed through a woodchipper slowly.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
But privately, her political team has been mapping out a campaign strategy, pitching donors and potential supporters on how she can win the marquee Senate race.
In a two-page prospectus obtained by NBC News, Sinema charts out a path to victory as an independent candidate in Arizona, with a glimpse of her possible campaign message and new details about the unique cross-party coalition she would seek to build in the competitive state.
The two-page pitch shows that even as Sinema's team insists she isn't focused on electoral politics, she is actively laying the groundwork for a potential independent candidacy, a wild card in a key swing state that will shape the battle for control of the Senate next year.
(She officially quit the party in December, when she changed her registration to independent, after her centrist positions and rejection of some liberal priorities caused irreparable fissures with many Democrats.)
The Republican field is still taking shape, with Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb having announced his candidacy and Kari Lake, who lost her bid for governor last year, considering jumping in, as well.
“Kyrsten Sinema has been a stalwart advocate for Joe Biden’s agenda by supporting his American Rescue Plan and his signature climate change bill, the Inflation Reduction Act,” Tate Mitchell, a spokesman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said in a statement.
