I feel certain that depression rates have risen due to Trump. For years in therapy I talked about him and it’s literally only gotten much worse since then.

He damn sure was right. Every time I’ve ever suggested parties should go away, someone dismisses that with a comment like “people need a platform to rally around”.
The only thing trump supporters all agree on is the racism and the only thing Harris voters are 100% aligned in is avoiding trump. So I don’t think the idea ever was to give people something to “rally around”.
