It definitely had some weak points and the ending was a bit meh, but I wouldn’t call it “worth skipping” at all. Especially if you’ve never seen it before.

Yeah, “meh” doesn’t even begin to cover how disappointingly bad the ending was. Absolutely skip it, make up your own head canon ending because you can’t possibly do worse than the actual one.
Exactly. Referring to the main star as “Kobol” which is a very obvious reference to Kolob (which is the star closest to where God resides), the 12 planets instead of the 12 tribes of Israel, being forced to flee their homes to go to a promised land, an IL-Cylon named Lucifer.

I absolutely loved the ending, but I understand why many people find it wanting.
You’ll only know if the ending was “good” by watching it through and through yourself.
