Idk if this is the right instance for this, but how fucking tired of these forced ads at gas pumps is everyone else?

I’ve seen duct or painters tape covering the speakers…
You can press a button next to the screen to mute it, but this doesn’t work at all gas stations. (Usually its the 2nd from the top on the right side)
I guess its just time to gettoblast music every time I pump gas like back when I was 19…
I’ve heard switching to EV totally removes the gas pump ads.
That switches you to a phone app platform that hides the ads but records everything about you from your telemetry and sells it.
That’s no different than gas. Your phone still knows what you’re doing, the credit card people track you, your car (if newer) tracks your every move. At least with electric you’re not forced to listen to bullshit ads and it’s cheaper.
That being said, I’ll stick with my 14mpg if I don’t beat on it corn and dinosaur boned fueled hotrod.
