Hi all,

In Children of Time, how long is a generation of Portias and spiders, compared to humans?

I’m asking because in chapter 3.12 Nessel is studied by multiple generations of spiders when she is left on Kerns’s world, but eventually dies. So my question is, was she only alive for a few days/weeks/months until she died, with each generation of spider only lasting a few days/weeks/months, or was she there for decades?
