I think I’ve reached the point where no one will be able to convince me that Star Citizen is not a money laundering front.
Just another episode of Pog & Dar: Cop Landlords
It's not "deal with" so much as "stop causing them".
Wow. I was kinda tongue-in-cheeking it there, because I genuinely thought I was misinterpreting/over-simplifying the OP, but they really are trying to sell "it didn't discard this data we explicitly fed it" as some kind of big deal.
I was expecting this to be more like them discovering that regional dialects exist or soemthing dumb-but-not-that-dumb.
So, what's going on here, in plainer language, anyway? Are they just including location information in training data and then, totally surprisingly finding it again in the output data? That's kind of the sense I get from the post here, but I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding.
Or did they just cluster the data and squint until someone said one of the graphs "kinda looks like it lines up with a Mercator projection"?

The system required personally ambitious people to the right thing for everyone instead of the thing that would get them further ahead as an individual. In the face of the wealth and power of the oil industry, corruption was almost inevitable, sadly.
Worth nothing that Augustus used the title "princeps", which was also an existing title in the Republic. And his power came from holding existing offices. He was careful to make himself the ruler of Rome using the existing governing framework.
He just negotiated that he would hold these positions for life.
This is the same thing Julius Caesar did, except the existing title he held - dictator - carried too much political baggage.
It’s litigation around what a machine can freely use in its learning model.
No, its not that, either. It's litigation around what resources a person can exploit to develop a product without paying for that right.
The machine is doing nothing wrong. It's not feeding itself.
I think it was before that, but after publishing lists of U of T faculty he wanted his incel army to harass and threaten.
I thought he did this 5 years ago, and then never heard anything of it again. Was that a fever dream, or did he fail to find his blackjack and hookers?
Have they remembered to ask Boebert to abstain from making pork porn during Biden's impeachment carnival, too?
theatrical appearance of competence and authority
No, no, no. It's maintaining the visage of wealth (which is also authority). It has nothing to do with looking impressive or competent, and everything to do with signalling what economic class you're supposed to come from to belong there.
Yes, Biden hitting the rail workers with a back-to-work order was a blow to labour, but I think it's important to understand how much of what politicians does is symbolic, and, importantly, reactive.
The symbolism of Biden not just showing support for striking auto workers, but also working the picket line, is a MASSIVE. And it reflects the growing and persistent public support for striking workers in the US. He's not sticking his neck out here, he's trying to catch a wave in public sentiment, and his engagement has the potential to grow that wave even further.
That's huge, and it speaks to some truly significant shifts in the labour movement.
That doesn't really answer the question, though. Most violence is done by people who are habitually violent, and most violence is not completely random and committed against strangers.
Dude is broken, but someone being traumatized and repeating a cycle of aggression and trauma doesn't actually explain any particular incident they have.
Here's a google prompt for you: "raspberry pi police"
Are they still playing apologetics for the cops? Because if so, no thanks.
The credentialism is overwhelmingly about classism, so if you make university free, that part becomes a totally different beast. That BSc is no longer a sign that you come from wealth (or are willing to indenture yourself to employers to LARP it), so it becomes less of an issue.
It also addresses the "one or two classes" issue.
The scheduling thing can be fixed by restructuring work. There's no good reason work needs to take up a contiguous block of time each day nor why it needs to take up 1/2 of the waking day.
Yeah. The Bidens are safe. The assailant is under arrest. Nobody’s dog got shot.
It’s obvious why this is a confusing outcome.
