I've never had it in my life but fear what I will turn into if I do
For me it's the nostalgia of the holidays that makes it so good so while it's good I don't think it's like trying meth.
I mean not totally.

Something like that I would guess.
It's funny how this name stuck in places where this flavour profile was popular before starbucks released their drink. It used to be called 'winter spices' or just 'spiced' in the uk.
We don't traditionally eat pumpkin pies here and for too long I thought the name implied the drink tasted like pumpkin and avoided it.

Why am I not surprised.
Cranberry sauce is traditional here with christmas meals and stuff, but that canned stuff just looks obscene. Ours tends to be home made or come in glass jars, and it has a jam like consistency.
Some people make homemade or mix it up but having the red cylinder of holiday spirit it pretty much tradiition at this point. Even if you don't want to eat it it needs to be there as decoration.
I need a silicon one I can just leave out on the coffee table all fall and winter like the fake fruit some people have.
I really really hate the canned stuff, and so growing up I thought I just hated cranberry sauce. Then I tried some of the jam-like stuff and was hooked. It's so much better, imo.
Not knocking anyone's traditions here, though! Definitely do what you enjoy. It just won't be a tradition for my family, personally haha.

What's 'sorbe'? I looked it up and was getting a jacket brand and sorbet in my results.

Ah, I was wondering if it was a brand nane like 'Jello' or something.
So canned cranberry sauce is slightly granular? Or is the sorbet comparison just taste-wise? Kinda want to try this now tbh, I'm getting curious.deleted by creator
The only place I've ever seen or tasted it is on the starbucks drink. And it's good. But I hate pumpkin on dishes so I have no idea what that pumpkin spice sourcery is made of for it to taste good. I just assume it's some kind of misterious chemical blend the americans have brought to the world.
Usually pumpkin spice refers to the spices used in cooking pumpkin pie. So what you're enjoying is less actual pumpkin and more a cocktail of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice and ginger.
Basically all things that are good and cozy :)
Companies will usually will add orange dye to these things to increase the association with pumpkins.
I can't help but like it in everything either. Tea, muffins, candles, you name it.

I've veen watching the Wire for the first time these last weeks. Currently on S5. Now he's always gonna be Stringer Bell to me.
I'm getting tired of this joke
I just hate the useless "Nobody:" If nobody said nothing, everybody said something.
100% with you.
