This makes me feel like Jeremy Clarkson was on to something in the Top Gear Burma special (if just slightly off)

@thanevim I didn't see it but that was made in the partial democracy period. So, probably just "golden triangle" stuff?

Meth is perfectly bioavailable when take orally.

People crush/snort/inject it because it hits faster.

It seems you're thinking about heroin. You do need to snort or inject heroin for it to be bioavailable.

Well kinda, you could eat and your body would just cleave it into morphine. A bit of a waste, depending on form… but it's an option.

@TheMightyCanuck it works just fine. Meth pills have been around for a long time.

The early diet pills were mostly methamphetamine, e.g Obetrol. If you ever watch Requiem for a Dream that's why the mother gets so addicted to diet pills.

Man, she was so disturbingly good in that. Her scenes unnerved me significantly more than the ones of Leto and Connelly—and they were on freaking heroin!

@wryan me too. She was so innocent and she had a nightmare outcome.
